The installation was on display during a period of five days, starting the 14th of May 2014 at 8pm and ending on the 18th of May 2014 at 5pm.
Set in a decommissioned bank vault the installation was created as a total installation providing an experience that raised awareness and prompted viewers to interrogate, critique and reflect on the paradigms and orthodoxies of our global economy. Using fire as a metaphor for money in the installation, it like fire both attracted and scared the participant.
Let there be fire consists of thirteen small pieces all surrounding the same theme and together becoming one total installation that delivers a metaphorical world where economy is represented by fire and the flame with the currency as fuel for that fire.
