“Play the Ground” is an interactive sculpture designed to enhance the space at at Stigsborg Havnefront through embodied interaction. The sculpture consists of industrial iron pipes which is placed on a concrete base that emerges directly from the ground. To interact with the piece the participant will have to push/pull the arm which will allow the sculpture to rotate around its own center, this rotation will activate the sound response which consist of a sample of industrial sounds. The sound together with the sculptures design and the physicality of the interaction all links back to the industrial history of Stigsborg Havnefront and Aalborg.
